"Earth and Sky"

I'm happy to announce the arrival of 'Earth and Sky', my second CD. These are songs that I've written over the last few years, and the recurring themes are rebirth and hope.

I recorded the songs in two different studios and with two different producers. The acoustic tracks were produced by Mark Lemaire. I worked with Mark when we recorded 'Noisy World', my first CD, and it was so great to work with him again in his new studio. I enlisted Joe Craven, an inventive mouth-percussionist and multi-instrumentalist who often works with David Grisman.

I have long admired the work of Keith Greeninger, a Santa-Cruz singer-songwriter and long-time friend. He put together an ace back-up band for me and we recorded basic tracks and then recorded overdubs over the course of the course of the past year in Tim Prince's beautiful Ridgetop Studio. Tim engineered these sessions. I was so fortunate to get many of my favorite artists to contribute their talents, including Art Alm on piano and Dayan Kai on guitar, tenor sax and Hammond B3(from the band Water), Dennis Murphy (from the band Acoustic Alchemy) on bass, Dennis Murphy on drums, Dave Nachmanoff (www.Davenach.com) on guitar, and singers Jamie Byrd, Alice Dimicele, Ann Weiss and Keith Greeninger. I hope you'll listen to a few tracks of the new CD, 'Earth and Sky'.
